This game was made for XanderJam 4 hosted by Xanderwood. The theme for the jam is "Opposites Attract."  I never knew Xanderwood was such a huge Paula Abdul fan either. To implement this theme, I made it so that enemies that are not the same color as you are hostile towards you. You color changes randomly while playing.

CONTROLS

A and D to turn left and right. That's it!

HOW TO PLAY

Your character automatically shoots are randomly chosen enemies. The character also moves forward at all times. Your job is to dodge enemies and their projectiles. As enemies are destroyed, health globs and bombs are dropped for you to collect. Collect the bombs strategically to destroy large hordes of enemies. As the game progresses the difficulty ramps up. If you reach level 10 you'll be doing pretty good. But beware, things quickly become a little insane at level 10. How long can you survive level 10?

I made this game in Construct 3. Music was made in FLStudio20. SFX were made with SFXR, Please rate and comment and I will do the same for you. Thanks for playing!

The concept of an ever-moving player is pretty neat. I also very much enjoyed the audio choices and Level-Up transition -- obvious, but not in the way.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.

Nice aesthetic and fun game. My only gripe would be it is hard to tell which way I am facing, and that some of the hazards look like power ups. Like I thought the white bomb thing would help me and then it exploded.

Really nice music/graphics and a fun mechanic. With more juice, power ups, and some minor UX improvements this could def be expanded on post jam!

Nice entry!

The white bomb does help you. If you lure enemies to it strategically it will destroy them. I suppose it could use some sort of indication on which way the player is facing. I had ideas for more power ups but time was not of the essence. I will do some updates after the jam voting is over. Thanks for playing!

I hope you can tell my criticisms are all nitpicky:)
